It was date night, so I tried the new LPM Restaurant & Bar on the Strip. I have eaten at a lot of great Vegas restaurants, but I’m not a food critic. So here’s what a regular, Vegas local thinks about LPM.

LPM Restaurant & Bar: A Local’s Perspective

  • Location: The Cosmopolitan. Specifically, it is in the third-level restaurant area in the old Milo’s.
  • Phone: 877-893-2003
  • Hours: Daily 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm (bar/lounge opens at 5:00 pm)
  • Pricing: Vegas Strip fine-dining prices, so we are grading tougher in this review than if this were a lower-priced establishment

Opened in late 2023, LPM is a relaxed fine-dining experience and one of 10 LPM locations worldwide.

Ambiance

With an ambiance reminiscent of the French/Spanish Riviera, LPM balances between upscale and approachable, avoiding appearing pretentious. While the dining room offers a quieter setting, the bar area is livelier (and louder), with eight or so tables in the lounge area.

Food

With a menu focused on small plates, sharing is encouraged here.

Your bread options are white or whole wheat French bread (or both) and are generally underwhelming.

While the bread service might not be a highlight (we would have liked some balsamic to mix with the olive oil), the yellowtail carpaccio is a must-order. The citrus dressing and touch of guacamole perfectly complement the melt-in-your-mouth fish.

For a main course, consider venturing beyond the pasta. Tasty but not amazing, the homemade Rigatoni was very simple, with the Rigatoni in a cream sauce and mushrooms. LPM is known for its meat dishes, so maybe explore those options instead.

One of my biggest recommendations is to try the incredible orange tart—a recent addition to the menu that deserves all the praise. They introduced this tart a few weeks before my visit.

What We Liked:

  • Yellowtail Carpaccio (5/5): This dish was a standout – melt-in-your-mouth yellowtail with a little bit of guacamole in a citrus dressing. The dressing had a nice kick!
  • Orange Tart (5/5): This delightful dessert addition is not on the online menu, but the waiter offered it to us. It features a creamy orange filling and a delightful crunch. Ask your server if it’s available!

Room for Improvement:

  • Bread Service (2/5): The basic bread offering could be amped up with better bread and some dipping options like balsamic vinegar to complement the olive oil.
  • Burrata (1/5): This cheese-heavy dish lacked the complementary flavors you’d expect at a fine dining establishment. Consider trying the truffle burrata option instead. Overall, it was the most disappointing part of the meal.
  • Homemade Rigatoni (4/5): While tasty, this dish felt a bit simple for a main course. It would be better suited as a pasta course before the entree.

Drinks

LPM’s beverages complement the food well. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or a cocktail connoisseur, I think you’ll find something to suit your interests. Before the meal, I spent time at the bar observing the bartenders who appeared to have a lot of passion for making cocktails.

For a truly heavenly experience and cap to your evening, try the very tasty and very creamy espresso martini.

Service

The servers and overall service were great. The front waiter was very personable, and the back waiter made sure to fix the lighting when I took pictures of the dishes. Food was brought promptly, and empty dishes were removed quickly.

The bartenders were also friendly as well but not overly chatty.

Premier Tip: Reservations are recommended but easier to snag than other Cosmo restaurants.

The Verdict: A Vegas Riviera Gem

LPM offers a unique fine-dining experience with a Riviera twist. While a few dishes could be improved, the excellent service, standout options like the yellowtail carpaccio and orange tart, and the overall vibe make it a worthwhile addition to your Las Vegas restaurant list.
