Las Vegas is a fantastic destination for taco lovers. With its diverse culinary scene, you’ll find a wide range of options to satisfy your cravings for burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, tacos and more!

In this article, we’ll highlight some of the top taco shops on or near the Las Vegas Strip, offering you the chance to indulge in delicious Mexican flavors without venturing far from the excitement of the city.

Tacos El Gordo

San Diego-based Tacos El Gordo deserves an early shoutout, as it has four locations in Vegas, including the popular one: 3041 South Las Vegas Blvd (across the street from Resorts World Las Vegas).

This family-run shop traces its roots to Tijuana, Mexico, beginning in 1972. The San Diego location opened in 1998, and the company came to Las Vegas in 2010. It promises an authentic Tijuana experience, with tacos based on handmade corn tortillas and various meat toppings – including lengua (beef tongue) and tripa (beef intestines) for the truly adventurous! Definitely try the carne asada or the pork adobada.

Tacos El Pastor

A short walk from the Strip location of Tacos El Gordo is similarly named Tacos El Pastor. The latter can be found at 3049 South Las Vegas Blvd, in the Gold Key Shops.

Tacos El Pastor is open 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday-Saturday.

Insider tip: The Pastor Fries with marinated pork is a showstopper.

664 TJ Birrieria

Also in the Gold Key Shops, at 3061 South Las Vegas Blvd, is 664 TJ Birrieria.

Named after the area code that serves Tijuana, Mexico, this shop offers numerous options involving birria, a stew made with shredded beef. It is open almost around the clock, from 7 a.m. every day to 2 a.m., 3 a.m., or 4 a.m., depending on the day of the week.

Tacos & Beer

Just off the Strip, at 3900 Paradise Road, Suite A (north of Flamingo, south of Sands), is Tacos & Beer.

Home to artisanal tacos, craft beer, plus other Mexican food and drinks. Tacos can be purchased individually or on platters of two or three tacos with two sides. Vegetarian options are available.

Open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

Bajamar Seafood & Tacos

No visit to Baja California is complete without seafood tacos – an atmosphere the Puchi and Ramirez families looked to replicate in Las Vegas with their version of a Baja surf shack. Their first Bajamar Seafood and Tacos location opened at 1615 South Las Vegas Blvd (just north of The Strat) in 2017.

Open Monday-Saturday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., closed Sunday.

Taqueria Ktrina

Taqueria Ktrina gets tons of foot traffic thanks to its TV-famous neighbor, Gold & Silver Pawn Shop! (as seen on “Pawn Stars.”)

The taqueria is at 725 South Las Vegas Blvd and is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, and closed Sundays.

El Dorado Cantina

Located at 3025 Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, in an area behind the Fashion Show Mall, El Dorado Cantina has become a Mexican food staple for Las Vegas locals and tourists looking for great Mexican food in a sit-down experience. It is known around town for great fajita platters, filled-to-the-brim quesadillas, bowls, signature dishes, and more.

As far as tacos go, the menu includes crispy tacos, street tacos, and signature tacos. The signature tacos include both filet mignon tacos and even lobster tacos! A fan favorite is the tacos pastor, combining the sweetness of pineapple with mouthwatering pork and avocado salsa.

It is located adjacent to a gentlemen’s club but is a separate establishment. Note there are two other locations in Las Vegas, so if you are taking a taxi or rideshare, make sure to pick the location on Sammy Davis Jr. Drive.

Open 24 hours a day.
