Are you a sports fan who loves supporting local teams? If so, book tickets for one of the many minor league games regularly around Vegas. Here are some of the best minor league sports teams in Vegas.

Hockey: The Silver Knights (AHL)

The Henderson Silver Knights, a rising force in the AHL since the 2020-2021 season, bring the thrill of hockey to Nevada. Playing at Lee’s Family Forum, the team is not only a gateway to seeing future NHL stars but also captivates fans with their distinctive silver helmets and dynamic play.

Season tickets range from $1,000 to $4,000, offering a full season of exhilarating matches, while single-game tickets are available between $15 and $140. Each game is an event in itself, often featuring special theme nights and promotions. Check out the Henderson Silver Knights website for the latest updates and ticket options.

Baseball: Las Vegas Aviators (MiLB)

The Las Vegas Aviators are the Triple-A Affiliate team of the Oakland A’s. The Aviators’ home games occur at the Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin – near the Red Rock Casino & Resort.

The Las Vegas Ballpark opened in 2019 and is state-of-the-art for minor league stadiums. And because of the ballpark’s location, ample pre-game bar and dining options exist.

The season runs between April and September for 70 home games. For evening games, an overhang to help block the setting sun covers significant portions of the seating. There is deck seating in the right field for those looking for more of a casual hang-out feel. For corporations and groups, hospitality suites are available. There is also a club level with indoor seating.

You can book your tickets at www.AviatorsLV.com. As one of Vegas’ most popular sporting events, buying tickets in advance is encouraged.

The Las Vegas Ballpark also hosts Major League Weekend MLB pre-season games the week before the regular season starts. The Ballpark also regularly hosts regular-season college baseball games as well.

As many know, the Oakland Athletics are moving to Las Vegas in 2028 to a to-be-built stadium on the site where The Tropicana stands today. During the intervening years, it is possible that the A’s could play some home games at the Ballpark.

PREMIER TIP: For visitors with disabilities who may have questions before their visit, we suggest contacting the Aviators’ guest services office at 702.943.7209.

Soccer: Las Vegas Lights FC (USL Championship)

The Las Vegas Lights FC is a professional soccer team that competes in the USL Championship – the league just below the MLS. The Lights play their home matches at Cashman Field in Downtown Las Vegas.

Cashman Field seats approximately 10,000 fans. Because Cashman Field was used primarily as a baseball stadium for decades, the stadium’s seat layout for soccer offers fans a very unique viewing experience.

Unlike some of the other teams in Vegas that play in new venues, the Lights definitely offer some creative promotions and fan experiences, including tailgating. The Lights also have some of the funnest uniforms in pro sports.

The Lights’ season includes over a dozen home games from March to October. Season tickets start in the low $200s.

Indoor Football: Vegas Knight Hawks (IFL)

The Vegas Knight Hawks are an indoor football team that plays at Lee’s Family Forum (formerly The Dollar Loan Center) in Henderson, the same arena as the Silver Knights. For those unfamiliar, the Indoor Football League is played on a 50-yard field with a lot of scoring and action.

2024 will mark the Knight Hawk’s second season, running from March to July. The Knight Hawks focus on delivering a fan experience geared towards families.

Lacrosse: Las Vegas Desert Dogs (National Lacrosse League)

Although not technically a minor league, Sin City’s up-and-coming lacrosse team, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs, play their home games inside the Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on the Strip – the same venue that hosts the Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA. National Lacrosse League teams play 18 games per season, nine at home and nine away.

The season begins in December, with all games played on either Friday nights or Saturdays. The Desert Dogs have kept ticket prices low, starting at $25. They also offer options for premium, complete, or half-season memberships.

The Desert Dogs games can be viewed locally and nationally on TV on Silver State Sports on ESPN+.

Women’s Volleyball: Vegas Thrill (Pro Volleyball Federation)

November 2023 marked a significant milestone in sports history with the introduction of the Vegas Thrill, Sin City’s newest professional women’s volleyball team. Reflecting the growing popularity of the sport, especially at the collegiate and now professional level, the Vegas Thrill has become a beacon for volleyball enthusiasts.

The inaugural season, spanning from February to May, features a star-studded roster including Layne Van Buskirk, Alisha Glass Childress, Saskia Hippe, Molly McCage, and Berkeley Oblad. The team, enjoying partial ownership by the proprietors of The Golden Knights and Silver Knights, hosts its home games at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, inviting fans to witness the rise of women’s volleyball in a vibrant new setting.

Keep an eye out for promotional nights as well, featuring promotions such as Hawaiian Night.

Ticket prices range from $29 to $114 per match for 12 home contests. Full-season and half-season VIP membership will also be available.
