During the winter, Mt. Charleston often has snow and can drop below freezing temps. Bring chains if your car does not have all-wheel drive, and layer up for colder temperatures.
If you plan to spend the day hiking or hanging out on the mountain, pack accordingly. Always bring water to stay hydrated in the desert heat, and have extra water for your car in case your engine overheats.
