Las Vegas Great Santa Run

The Las Vegas Great Santa Run takes over Downtown Las Vegas every December, with all proceeds donated to Opportunity Village to assist in their mission of aiding disabled people with valuable life skills and employment opportunities. The Santa Run is Opportunity Village’s most important fundraiser.

Thousands of people from all over the world attend this annual race dressed in full Santa suits, with a 5-piece Santa suit included with registration. Registration costs between $25 and $45, depending on how close to the race you register.

Race distances range from 1 mile to 5k to accommodate all skill levels, with many participants choosing to walk rather than run the entire length. Kids under three are admitted for free. Virtual tours are offered for the same price if you cannot attend in person.

Running for the House 5K

In its 19th year, the Runnin’ For The House 5K raised more than $100,000 for families with hospitalized children during its latest event. The 5k takes place in April at Floyd Lamb Park and draws hundreds of runners annually.

Early bird prices for the race start at $20, with prices rising to $30 for adults after March. The cost for children does not change.

In addition to the race, the event features countless fun-filled family activities, including bounce houses, raffles, and superhero-themed fun. The race takes place every September at Mountain Edge Exploration Peak Park and attracts hundreds of families and individuals yearly.

Adult registration for the race starts at $35. Children 9 and under and pets are $15. Those under three years old are free.

Gift of Hope 5K

The Gift of Hope 5K race attracts 100 to 500 attendees annually. All proceeds from the race benefit the UMC Foundation, dedicated to supporting the highest level of care at the University Medical Center (UMC) hospital. UMC is Clark County’s only public, nonprofit hospital, and Nevada’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.

The race takes place at Cornerstone Park in Henderson at the beginning of every September. Entry costs between $12 – $40.

Vegas Strong 5K

Vegas Strong 5k is a race to support those affected by the tragic Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in 2017. Participants can walk or run in memory of those that lost their lives.

The race takes place in Downtown Las Vegas, with all proceeds going to the Las Vegas Victims’ Fund. 500 to 1000 people participate in this race annually.

In addition to the 5K, a 1-mile race is offered, which can be an excellent option for children.

The 5K costs between $40 and $50. The 1-mile costs between $30 and $40. You can also donate $100, which includes free entry into the race of your choice. If you can’t attend in person, a virtual run is offered for $50.
