America’s playground can be fun for more than just humans. If you’re visiting Las Vegas with pets, you might be surprised to learn there are quite a few places where you can safely and legally take your furry friend – on and off the Strip.

Here are some of the top pet-friendly hotels, shops, and parks in Las Vegas:

Can You Walk Your Dog On The Las Vegas Strip?

The answer is, yes – with restrictions. While the best source of information is checking with your hotel, make sure you know the Strip’s general dog walking policies:

  • Leashes no longer than 3ft.
  • Dog walking is only permitted between 5 am and 12 pm
  • Dogs may need to be left in your hotel room outside of these hours, but check your hotel’s policy for details

Where Can You Eat With Dogs?

Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar

If you’re looking to take your dog for a quality bite to eat, Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar at Town Square is a pup’s paradise. Lazy Dog provides indoor and outdoor seating areas and a small menu for your pet,  with most dog-menu items ranging between $2 and $5.

Please note the below rules before deciding if this is the right restaurant for you and your pet:

  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
  • You may not feed dogs food from your plate – dogs may only eat items from the dog menu
  • Doggy guests should not bark, beg or bite while in the restaurant

Where Can You Take Your Dog During The Day?

Desert Breeze Dog Park

Only seven miles from the Strip, Desert Breeze Dog Park is an excellent spot for you and your dog to make some local friends. Desert Breeze has ample parking, three enclosed dog runs, and a fenced space for both large and small dogs to play off-leash.

Water taps are available for pups to drink and cool off, especially in the warmer weather. The park regularly rotates which sections are open to keep the grass fresh for the dogs. It also has dog washing areas ideal for a dog who loves to get muddy.

The Fashion Show Mall

If you want to take your dog on a shopping trip, the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip is another dog-friendly location. Dogs must always be on a leash and be taken outside to do their business.

Security may ask you to leave if your dog is disruptive or aggressive. Each retailer also has its own dog policies, so you should always ask before taking your pet inside.
