The November 2016 general election brought legal marijuana to several states, including Nevada. The first dispensaries in the Silver State opened on July 1, 2017, with massive lines of eager customers. Today, legal cannabis dispensaries can be found throughout the Las Vegas Valley – with many open 24 hours a day. Whether a local or a tourist, you have numerous options to get your buzz on! Before you consume cannabis in Vegas, keeping a few key things in mind to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience is important. Firstly, make sure you are of legal age (21 years or older) and have a valid government-issued ID to prove it. Purchase marijuana products only from licensed dispensaries to ensure quality and legality. Start with a low dosage, especially if you’re a beginner or have a low tolerance. Remember that marijuana affects individuals differently, so always be aware of your limits and consume responsibly. Finally, respect public spaces and adhere to the designated consumption areas, as smoking marijuana is prohibited in public areas or on the Las Vegas Strip.

Near The Strip

Reef & Planet 13

Two of the flashiest dispensaries in town are in an industrial section just minutes from Treasure Island and Wynn – Reef and Planet 13. Reef’s Strip location (the company also has a store in North Las Vegas, which we will get to later) is at 3400 Western Ave., while Planet 13 is at 2548 West Desert Inn Road.

Both are open 24/7 and offer a wide variety of deals on flower, edibles, vapes, and pre-rolls. If you have time, consider getting a ride to one and walking to the other to a comparison shop.

Thrive

A few blocks north of Reef/Planet 13, just west of Resorts World, is Thrive Cannabis Marketplace. As is the case with many dispensaries, Thrive has multiple locations. Its near-Strip location can be found at 2975 South Sammy Davis Jr Drive, and is open 24/7.

Las Vegas Cannabis Tours

Practically next door to Thrive, Las Vegas Cannabis Tours, at 2911 South Sammy Davis Jr Drive, promises several types of cannabis “experiences.” From the basic “Stoner Tour,” which takes you to three dispensaries for $95, to the “Grass and Glass” combination of glass-blowing and weed for $225, to the “Grow House Tour,” which gives education in cultivation for $250, and finally the “Get High and Fly” package, which combines dispensaries, glass-blowing, lunch and a helicopter ride over The Strip for $425 per person, you can be entertained for 2 to 3 hours.

Curaleaf & Oasis

Continuing north, at 2320 Western Ave., is Curaleaf, while Oasis Cannabis Dispensary can be found at 1800 South Industrial Road. Curaleaf is open 8 am to 11 pm; Oasis sells from 7 am until 2:30 am. Oasis offers a 15% discount to locals and seniors.

Cookies, ReLeaf & 420 Sahara

There are three dispensaries near the intersection of Sahara Ave and Las Vegas Blvd: Cookies on the Strip, at 2307 S Las Vegas Blvd., is open 8 am to 1 am daily and features great lighting. Las Vegas ReLeaf, 2244 Paradise Road, sells from 8 am to midnight. It is easy to remember the address of the dispensary known as 420 Sahara – it is located at 420 Sahara Ave! It offers both medical and recreational marijuana 24/7.

Downtown and North of The Strip

Las Vegas Boulevard north of The Strip (think north of The Strat) was home to numerous wedding chapels for years. The chapels, by and large, are still there, but now they count as their neighbors a slew of new dispensaries.

Even further north towards Downtown, cannabis sellers may be found in the Las Vegas Beer District, just south of the Fremont Street casino district.

Curaleaf & NuLeaf

Curaleaf’s second store is at 1736 Las Vegas Blvd. This one is open from 8 am till 1 am. NuLeaf has a storefront at 1600 S Las Vegas Blvd., from which it also offers delivery services to Summerlin West.

The Sanctuary

Multi-taskers looking to get married before or after their dispensary stop can head to The Sanctuary at 1324 South 3rd Street – which is located next to The Little Vegas Chapel. The Sanctuary declares it is there to provide “the spirit of the burn”!

Health For Life

In the Arts District, at 200 East Charleston Blvd., is Health for Life Dispensary. You can’t miss the place driving by, as the entire outside of the building is decorated in a stunning
